Cultural Innovations and BECK have been selected as the designer and fit-out contractor for the Welcome Center renovation project at the prestigious King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) along the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia.

The existing Welcome Center will undergo a transformation into a captivating space that introduces visitors to KAUST’s vision and highlights the university’s offerings, both within Saudi Arabia and on a global scale. Visitors will be treated to an immersive and interactive experience within this engaging and inviting space, which is intended for VIP guests, faculty members, students, and much more.

KAUST currently educates and trains 1640 master’s and doctoral students supported by a robust academic community of 8330 members.  With more than 120 nationalities working and living at KAUST, the University brings together people and ideas from all over the world.

The Design & Build project will see Cultural Innovations developing the concept and schematic design for the Welcome Center, with BECK then creating the detailed design, manging fabrication and overseeing the installation.  BECK and Cultural Innovations have a long and successful history of working together to develop and deliver exhibitions and visitor experiences for some of the world’s most respected and prestigious institutions.

Recently, Chris Lawrenson, Board Director and Paul Gilling, Senior Project Manager at BECK, visited the university and enjoyed a tour of the state-of-the-art research facilities, along with Cultural Innovations’ Design Director, Andrew Wood-Walker, and Senior Consultant, James White.
