BECK were honoured to be part of the team delivering the project, undertaking the role of fit out contractor. The New Gallery, adjoining the Harley Gallery on the Welbeck Estate, is housed within the walls of the Tan Gallop, a structure previously used for training race horses.
The gallery, designed by John Ronayne, was developed to be a place of delight and surprise, which evokes the spirit of Welbeck through their materiality, changing scales and texture. The gallery showcases ceramics, furniture and silver from the historic Portland Collection of fine and decorative arts for over 400 years and counting.
BECK manufactured the setworks in house, as well as working with specialist contractors to provide the showcases and AV hardware for the project.
