The long-anticipated extension to Tate Modern is triumphant – Londoners have been watching the project unfold for years and so have we…
Tate Modern’s long awaited new building opened to the public on 17 June 2016. BECK were pleased to be part of the team, working with the Swiss architecture practice Herzog & de Meuron to deliver the joinery works for the project.
The extension has been an opportunity for the museum to present completely new collection displays across the galleries in the original building (now called the Boiler House) and those in the Switch House.
BECK manufactured the joinery works in house, as well as working with specialist contractors to deliver the iconic project.
