The United Arab Emirates Pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015 was successfully opened on 1st May 2015.
BECK were honoured to be part of the team delivering the project, undertaking the role of setworks contractor, and to work on an iconic project as this. BECK manufactured the setworks and exhibits in house, as well as working with specialist contractors. The works included, but not limited to a range of interactive exhibits and complex setworks.
The UAE Pavilion deliver an unforgettable pavilion experience, not only producing a building design that ‘wows’ the visitors but also satisfies the requirement for the UAE Pavilion to be demountable and re-built in Masdar City, UAE after the EXPO. The Pavilion, which runs from May to November 2015 explores the very real challenges that arise in feeding the planet, particularly in the interwoven topics of land, food, energy and water. It also highlights some of the innovative solutions that the UAE has developed in these areas. Solutions have been arrived at, based on a local need but they have a very real global benefit since many parts of the world will be experiencing the same difficulties as the Emirates due to spiralling demand and the effects of climate change. By sharing knowledge and resources, the UAE is truly helping to shape the future
