Following BECK’s appointment as the Exhibition Fit Out Contractor for the National Museum of Scotland Masterplan Phase 3 project in June 2015, BECK have gone on to secure another project in Scotland – Dunfermline Museum and Art Gallery (DMAG).

BECK have been appointed as the Exhibition Fit Out Contractor to construct and install the museum displays, which is designed by Redman Design.

The project in Dunfermline sees the development of the town’s Carnegie Library into a new museum, art gallery and library within the heart of the historic town centre. The museum will sit within a new-build extension that will serve to add capacity to the current library building.

DMAG will create a gateway to the City’s long and illustrious web of history by drawing together the golden threads of Royal Dunfermline, Dunfermline the ancient capital of Scotland, and Dunfermline’s great Benedictine Monastery. It will tell the story of Dunfermline and its people, conserving and interpreting historic objects for future generations. The importance of Dunfermline as a historic centre for medieval royalty, agriculture, industry and philanthropy will be brought to life by showcasing the town’s historic collections and superb built heritage. This will be realised through permanent and temporary exhibitions.
